Always learning, always building.
Who am I?
I am a recent computer science graduate from the University of Wollongong , eager to begin my career in software development. I gravitated towards systems programming, network security, and distributed systems. But enough buzzwords, here's what I've built so far...

AI Insight Tool for IoT Data
2025
A tool made for BinaryMed that leverages an LLM agent to perform automated data analysis
This was a final year capstone project for my Computer Science degree, with BinaryMed as our industry sponsor and a team of five students. BinaryMed's IoT sensors collect continuous data during the transportation of pathology samples. We built a tool that automates data ingestion, trend analysis, anomaly highlighting, compliance checking, and report generation. We used GPT-4o-mini based agents to perform the analysis and report generation tasks.
My role in this project was the project manager and a backend developer (Python). This was a great learning experience, working with other developers to build a production oriented system while managing client needs.

Wikipedia Search Engine
May - 2026
A self-hosted search engine built for English Wikipedia
This is a full-stack search engine built over the entire English Wikipedia dataset as a personal project. The pipeline starts with downloading and extracting the raw Wikimedia XML dump, processing it through a custom Python data normalisation script, then indexing each token in an inverted index in RocksDB. It uses the TF-IDF scoring algorithm to fetch the related Wikipedia articles based on a search query string.

Mayo's Playground
May - 2026
A collection of small experimental projects
This is just a place where I experiment with ideas and play with some tools I find interesting

Portfolio Website
May - 2026
I think you're on it now??
I built this as a place where I can show the world who I am and what I've worked on. It's evolving over time, just like my skills.

Havoc
Oct - 2024
A 3D third-person arena shooter video game
A fun university project developed with a team of four students. Its core gameplay is surviving waves of enemies that progressively grow in strength, difficulty and complexity as the player progresses through each level. The final level features a difficult boss fight that challenges the player's understanding of the game mechanics. I was in charge of the game's core mechanics.
